The Eagles late run in the fourth quarter came up short as Louisiana College escaped with a 59-56 conference win Saturday afternoon. Ozarks made a monumental run after trailing 49-37 with eight minutes left in the game. Diamond Goodwyn and Hailey Ostrander scored to start the run and bring the Eagles within 49-42. Goodwyn would score again before Louisiana College responded with a basket. But Anisha Johnson drilled a three-pointer to pull Ozarks within 51-47 at the five-minute mark. The Eagles continued to chip away and Kate Smith eventually made two free throws to tie the game 51-51. Ostrander put Ozarks up 53-51 with two more free throws with 3:28 remaining. The Eagles took another lead at the 2:25 mark, but that would be their final advantage of the game. Louisiana College scored the go-ahead bucket with 44 seconds left.
