Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O women's basketball team opened the 2014-2015 season with an impressive 78-42 victory over Dallas Christian College Monday night.

Ozarks (1-0) built a 47-18 halftime lead behind a strong shooting performance and a dominating effort on the boards. The Lady Eagles hit 17-of-31 (54%) from the floor and 9-of-10 (90%) from the free throw line, and pulled down 25 rebounds to mount a sizable halftime lead. Taylor Farmer paced Ozarks with 12 first half points, while Bryanna Moltz recorded 10 rebounds. Ozarks controlled the second half and never really let Dallas Christian (1-6) get back in the game. Farmer ended the game with 20 points. Jordana Andrews and Ashley Hipps each contributed 11 points. Moltz had a team-high 12 rebounds.
Ozarks will travel to Irving, Texas, for a non-conference game against Centenary College November 21. Ozarks will then play at University of Dallas in Irving November 22.
