Overview: The Eagles held a 6-4 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but had to hold off Concordia University Texas to secure a 6-5 conference-opening win Friday night in game one. With the bases still loaded, Abby Mork got a fly out to center field to end the threat. The Eagles used a productive third inning to grab a 5-2 advantage. Sierra Jasna drew a bases loaded walk, then Mork delivered a two-run double and Sydney Key followed with a two-run single. Kieara Bryant drove in the Eagles' final run with a single to center field. Concordia made things uncomfortable for the Eagles rallying late, but Mork settled in to force a flyout. Mork helped her own cause by finishing 2-for-3 with two RBI at the plate.
