Clarksville, Ark.-The men's soccer team went into overtime with Belhaven University only to have the Blazers spoil a Homecoming weekend with a 1-0 win Saturday.
Belhaven (5-7-1) posted the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute when Carmine Caruso rebounded a shot in the box. Both teams had chances to score in each half. Ozarks (9-3-2) had three shots in the first half, while the Blazers recorded six. Luis Mena made a number of outstanding saves throughout the match, including a leaping stop in the 43rd minute to keep the Blazers off the board. Bradley Rice got a good look at the net as the first half came to a close, but his shot went wide.
In the second half, the Eagles again totaled three shots, but couldn't find the net.
Ozarks will travel to Brownwood, Texas, to face Howard Payne University October 20 and Richardson, Texas, to face Texas Dallas October 22.
