Eagles' Rally Falls Short Against NCAA II Ouachita Baptist
Arkadelphia, Ark.-The Eagles dropped a 9-7 decision to NCAA II Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia Wednesday. The Eagles made an impressive comeback after trailing 9-0, but simply ran out of innings. The Tigers plated five runs in the third inning and then added three runs in the fourth inning to hold a comfortable 8-0 advantage. In the seventh frame, the Eagles finally got on the board when Zach Stanley homered. In the eighth, the Eagles' bats really got going scoring five runs on four hits. Erick Aguirre, Josh Stephens and Rey Lozano all had RBI. The Eagles headed into the ninth trailing 9-6, and loaded the bases with one out in the top half of the inning. The Eagles cut the deficit to 9-7 when Aguirre recorded a sacrifice RBI, but that would be it for the visitors. Chase Edwards went 3-for-4 for the Eagles.

Eagles Fight Back In Game One Loss
Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles made a furious comeback late in game one scoring five runs in the final inning only to fall 8-6 Saturday. University of Dallas pounded out four hits and scored six runs in the third inning to take the game's momentum early. University of Dallas starting pitcher Conrad Voss was lights out as he tossed six innings and allowed just two hits. The Eagles did plate a run in the third on Rey Lozano's groundout RBI to make it 6-1. As Voss cruised, the Crusaders made a pitching change in the bottom of the seventh that almost proved costly. The bottom of the inning opened with an error, but the Crusaders then got back-to-back outs to appear in control. But things unraveled quickly as the Eagles mounted a comeback and eventually had the game-winning run on base. Josh Stephens doubled in a run and then later in the frame, Chase Edwards delivered a big two-out bases clearing double to make it 8-5. Sam Swartz singled in a run to put runners at first and second. From there, a second Crusader relief pitcher was able to force a groundout to end the game. Edwards finished 1-for-4 with three RBI. Starting pitcher David Beck took the loss after tossing 2.2 innings. He had four strikeouts.
