Clarksville, Ark.-Despite a narrow 2-1 loss against Concordia University Texas Saturday, the Eagles qualified for the American Southwest Conference Tournament.
The Eagles are now 10-5-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the league.
Concordia (12-4-0, 7-3-0 ASC) scored in the 22nd minute to hold a 1-0 advantage. Ozarks answered with a goal in the 27th minute from Thomas Mills. With the score at 1-1 in the second half, Concordia posted the game-winning goal in the 75th minute. Ozarks had a flurry of shots late in the match that nearly changed the outcome. Sean Garcia, Johnson Cijulus and Bryce Young had shot attempts but couldn't find the net. Luis Mena had five saves in goal for Ozarks.
