Clarksville, Ark.-The East Texas Baptist men's basketball team outscored the University of the Ozarks 51-38 in the second half to earn a 92-77 win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Tigers (12-5, 4-5 ASC) would hit eight three-pointers in the second half to fuel the win. ETBU ended the game hitting 51 percent from the floor and 14-of-30 (46%) from the arc. Ozarks (6-11, 1-10 ASC) made 44 percent from the field in the game. Ozarks held the lead for most of the first half, but went into intermission trailing 41-39. Dylan Gray carried the Eagles in the first half scoring 15 points. Ozarks then played within single digits in the second half until ETBU outscored the Eagles 14-11 in the final five minutes.
Gray ended the game scoring a team-high 23 points. Jace Richardson added 18 points.
Ozarks will host Haskell Indian Nations University January 25 and Belhaven January 28.
