Tyler, Texas-The Texas-Tyler Patriots outscored the University of the Ozarks men's basketball team 50-33 in the second half to earn a 89-67 win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Patriots (10-6, 6-4 ASC) held a 39-34 halftime lead, but went on a 11-0 run early in the second half to move ahead 62-43. The Patriots hit 18-of-31 (58%) from the floor in the second half, while Ozarks (6-9, 1-8 ASC) made 9-of-27 (33%). Texas-Tyler also grabbed 22 rebounds in the second half and limited the Eagles to only ten.
Ozarks will host Louisiana College January 19.
